Portable Tabletop MAME Cabinet (Inventory)
 
This was my inventory for the project.
 
•    Compaq W17q 17-inch Flat Panel LCD Monitor ($169)
•    Generic Micro-ATX Power Supply ($30)
•    VIA Mini-ITX N10000 Motherboard ($170)
•    Hard Drive or at least a 2 GB Compact Flash with IDE-to-CF adapter (varies; don't spend more than $100) that you can install an OS and MAME on.
•    Ultimarc I-PAC Controller Card to map joysticks and pushbuttons to keyboard clicks ($40 or $80 depending on the card you get, which depends on how many controls you want.)
•    2-foot x 4-foot 1/4-inch Medium Density Fiberboard ($5)
•    2-foot x 4-foot 1/2-inch Medium Density Fiberboard (x2) ($10)
•    Red and white 18 gauge electrical wire
•    .110 and .187 gague female flat terminals (pack of 100) that hook to the connectors on the joysticks and buttons
•    Mountable power button for the motherboard
•    8 Arcade Pushbuttons (cost varies around $20; see the Happ web site for baseline)
•    4 Arcade “Player Start” Pushbuttons (cost varies around $10; see the Happ web site for baseline)
•    4 Miniature Joysticks (cost varies around $120; see the Happ web site for baseline)
•    1 1/8 -inch drilling spade bit ($4)
•    1 ¼ -inch drilling spade bit ($4)
•    1/2-inch drill bit or auger ($5)
•    1-inch drill bit or auger ($10)
•    1-inch (or 25 mm) L-braces (Corner braces) (x16) ($10)
•    Locking latches (x6) ($5)
•    Black silkscreen (or black pantyhose)
•    Electric drill/Power screwdriver
•    Sandpaper/Power sander
•    Metallic Gray Spraypaint (my choice of color for the tabletop MAME cabinet)
•    Clear Coat Spraypaint
