Portable Tabletop MAME Cabinet (Housing III)

Here is the arcade housing with the monitor frame gently pushed into the top. Mine fit rather snugly, but I'll use L-braces later to determine an exact height that it can rest on. The monitor frame is holding the monitor and the cover has been placed on top. At this point, the basic shape of the tabletop MAME cabinet is starting to come together.

You'll also need to drill 1 inch holes in the center of each board. This allows wires for the joysticks and buttons to travel from the I-PAC unit in the center to the panels on the three sides. The hole on the fourth side, which should be about 1 1/4 inches, is used for the power cable. See the figure below.

In order to create a bottom surface for the motherboard, power supply, I-PAC, and hard drive to rest on, cut out a flat piece of wood using 1/4-inch MDF that is 18 inches by 12.5 inches. Sand it down until it fits snugly on the bottom of the arcade cabinet.
